My take: This is the 2nd book in the Mediator series as well as the 2nd book in the series I've read. This is my 3rd Cabot and I'm really glad it wasn't my first! I liked Shadowland better, but it wasn't a terrible read. The Mediator: Shadowland by Meg Cabot. Shadowland by Young Adult Queen, Meg Cabot. It's the first book in the Mediator Series. I read The Mediator 1: Shadowland by Meg Cabot. <--- I think I have an idea, but I can never be sure I know how fickle I am with titles. Shadowland is a fun easy read, though it didn't stand up to my Meg Cabot standards. Ah, here it is- one of my all-time favorites in Young Adult fiction. Author-Meg Cabot; Pages-304; Genre-Urban Fantasy; Series-the Mediator book 1; Age-11 to 16. Second Glance: Mediator is one hell of a story over all, and it's actually my favorite Teen series by YA Lit goddess Meg Cabot. Also, I was thinking today that it's funny that these books are called the Mediator (which I now think is a great title) because I got the idea for the series title in 1997 or something off a pamphlet that was sitting on my desk at work, urging people .. Granted, it was a fairly short young adult novel, but hey, it counts!
